Micro or Toy Puppies

Extra-small puppies require extra thought

Occasionally, we may have a puppy that stays exceptionally small and falls into the micro or toy size range. Although we do not intentionally breed for micro or toy size, these puppies do occasionally occur.

Due to their extremely small size and the added risks that can come with very small puppies, applicants for these puppies will be screened more extensively. Our goal is to ensure especially thoughtful placement, appropriate expectations, and a home prepared to meet the needs of a smaller puppy.

These puppies often require a far more hands-on level of care, including 24-hour constant monitoring, prescription food feedings every 2½ to 3 hours, and close attention due to the high risk of hypoglycemia. That added level of monitoring and care is one of the reasons pricing for these puppies is higher.

For this reason, these puppies will generally have a later go-home timeline of 10 to 12 weeks, rather than the typical 8 weeks. This added time allows for closer observation of growth, stability, and overall development before they leave our care.

Pricing Guide
$4,000 – $7,000

Pricing for micro or toy puppies typically ranges from $4,000 to $7,000, depending on registry, color, and gender. That pricing also reflects the substantially increased hands-on care these puppies often require.
