Policies

Everything you should know

Click a topic below to expand details. Your signed Sales Agreement remains the final authority for your specific puppy.

Application & Approval

We place puppies thoughtfully. Applications help us understand your lifestyle, experience, and what you’re looking for.

How approvals work
  • Submit your application through our website.
  • We review each home personally and follow up with questions if needed.
  • Once approved, we can discuss current availability or upcoming opportunities.
Important note

Submitting an application does not guarantee a puppy. Our priority is always the best long-term match for each puppy.

Deposits & Reservations

A deposit officially reserves a specific puppy and removes them from public availability.

Reservation basics
  • Deposits reserve your puppy and stop advertising.
  • Deposits are typically non-refundable once a puppy is reserved, because we hold the puppy specifically for you.
  • If a puppy becomes unavailable due to a health or placement decision on our side, terms are handled fairly and communicated clearly.
When we recommend waiting

For very small puppies or puppies still being evaluated, we may suggest waiting before final reservation to ensure the best outcome.

Best practice

Always review the Sales Agreement and deposit terms before paying. We want you to feel fully confident and prepared.

Pricing

Pricing is determined by registry, sex, and the individual puppy’s color/qualities.

How pricing is determined
  • Registry: ACA / AKC / CKC options can affect pricing.
  • Sex: male and female pricing differs.
  • Color/coat rarity: some colors are less common and priced higher.
Rare coat colors

Coats that are more rare (for example cream, lavender, or white) may be priced higher due to availability and the work involved in producing quality examples responsibly.

M
Males
Starting at $1,800
F
Females
Starting at $2,200

* Final pricing is confirmed for each puppy individually based on registry option, sex, and color/rarity.

Payments & Balance

Clear payment expectations keep meet-up day smooth and stress-free.

Standard expectation
  • Deposit reserves your puppy.
  • Balance must be paid in full at least 24 hours prior to meet-up (including any transportation fees, if applicable).
  • Payment timing and receipts are confirmed directly with each buyer.
Puppy payment plans

If a payment plan is offered and approved in writing, the buyer must have at least 50% paid 24 hours prior to meet-up. The remaining balance follows the agreed schedule and must be completed as outlined.

Tip for a smooth meet-up

Finalize payments early whenever possible. Meet-up day should be about your puppy — not payment stress.

Go-Home Age & Readiness

Our standard go-home begins at 8 weeks, with readiness always coming first.

Standard go-home age

Our standard go-home age is 8 weeks, as long as the puppy is thriving. Very small puppies or puppies needing a little more time may stay longer for the safest transition.

What “ready” looks like
  • Eating reliably and maintaining weight
  • Comfortable with handling and normal household routines
  • Stable hydration habits and overall energy level

Health, Vet Care & Guarantee

We raise puppies with daily observation, routine care, and veterinary partnership.

Included with every puppy
  • Comprehensive health and vaccine records
  • Regular de-worming schedule
  • Written Sales Agreement & Health Guarantee
Buyer responsibility

We strongly recommend a wellness exam with your veterinarian soon after bringing your puppy home. This protects you and your puppy and establishes care immediately.

Health guarantee

Your specific coverage details are outlined in the Sales Agreement. We encourage all buyers to review the agreement fully before placing a deposit.

A healthy puppy is our priority

We do not place puppies that we do not feel confident about. If we need to adjust a placement decision for a puppy’s wellbeing, we will communicate clearly and respectfully.

Visits & Biosecurity

Protecting our puppies matters. Visits are cautious, common-sense, and scheduled.

Visits are appointment-only

For safety and health, we do not offer walk-in visits. We typically begin with video calls and schedule in-person visits at appropriate ages.

Why we do this
  • Young puppies have developing immune systems
  • We minimize exposure to prevent avoidable illness risk
  • Our home is a nursery first — visitors must fit the puppy schedule

Pickup, Delivery & Travel

We coordinate meet-up plans carefully to protect the puppy and ensure a smooth transition.

Meet-up expectations
  • Meet-ups are scheduled by appointment.
  • Balance must be paid according to the Payments & Balance policy.
  • Bring a secure carrier and plan for a calm trip home.
Travel options

If travel is needed, we will discuss options case-by-case. Our priority is always safe, humane transport with clear communication.

Lifetime Support

We don’t disappear after meet-up day. You can reach out for guidance anytime.

What support looks like
  • Feeding and routine guidance
  • Basic training and adjustment tips
  • Ongoing care reminders and best practices
If life changes…

If you ever cannot keep your Chihuahua, contact us first. Our goal is always a safe, responsible outcome.

Ethical Placement

We reserve the right to decline or cancel any placement that doesn’t feel right.

We do not place based on urgency

We place based on long-term fit, safety, and readiness. This protects the puppy and supports your success as an owner.

Respectful communication

We’re happy to answer questions and educate. We also expect respectful conversation from our buyers and inquiries.

Final note

Policies exist so everyone is treated fairly — and so every puppy receives the stable start they deserve.
